THE perfect hostess gift. These Santa Rosa Candles, named for the workshop’s patron saint, are handmade by bathing layer after layer of high-grade paraffin over a central wick using centuries-old methods. The warm color of the candles is achieved by melting actual amber into the wax. The candles are unscented, and are traditionally used in churches and cathedrals throughout Mexico. The owner Charlie Hall provides these candles to the local parish cathedral in San Miguel De Allende every week, as an offering.
