A book about my favorite hotel. 

Passalacqua embodies the very essence of the Italian dream. This eighteenth-century estate overlooks Lake Como with twenty-four rooms, each more exquisite than the last, and was named the World’s Best Hotel. You’ll see why.

The front entrance is its own welcoming celebration. A butter-colored awning comes up and down every day, a friendly wave. A Jolly is ready to whisk you away to a surprise chicken coop, lush gardens, and countless follies for delight and wonder. Under ancient climbing roses and a statuesque bay tree sits my favorite pool on earth...and still nothing can prepare the soul for the villa interiors, a vision of Venetian glass, frescos, silk, and passementerie...

This volume was created in close collaboration with owners Paolo, Antonella, and Valentina De Santis, and features illustrations from Andrea Ferolla, photography from Daria Reina, and reflections from glittering guests like J.J. Martin, Donna Hay, and Emilia Wickstead. 12”l x 9.5”w x 1.5”h
