Free from any superfluous ornamentation, this sterling silver cutlery features no other embellishment than the five fluted rings on their handles. Some have compared the disciplined silhouette to the Art Deco facade of the Martinez Hotel in Cannes, a city adored by Jean Puiforcat, a great lover of the coast. Designed in 1928, the Cannes collection had a special place in the heart of the silversmith designer. When he married Maria Estevez, he chose these knives and forks to grace wedding tables.
