…There is a time for casting silver and a time for casting cannon

Champagne cannons, that is. Paul Revere was a silversmith and member of the Sons of Liberty, a patriotic drinking society (Sign me up!). To commemorate the 92 votes in favor of the resolution to lift taxes on commodities, he was commissioned by that organization to create a silver bowl. The result became an instant American classic.

The iconic Revere Bowl goes with everything and is the perfect sergeant for serving. This one’s a giant, meant for icing more than 6 bottles of Champagne or hosting the most elegant apple bobbing contest there ever was. Old England meets New England. English silver plate in  good vintage condition.
